What is the ISSDA Alumni Association?
The Iowa State Sheriff’s and Deputies Association Alumni was established in 2004 by members of ISSDA Sheriff Chuck Eddy, Sheriff Leonard Davis, Sheriff Ken Popenhagen, Retired Sheriff Bill Westendorf, Retired Sheriff Keith Whitlatch, Retired Deputy Bev Hutchinson and ISSDA Board of Directors

Help ISSDA with special projects
Help promote ISSDA
Give ISSDA assisting roll with committees
Offer experience and wisdom to current ISSDA members

Who is Eligible To Join?
A retired elected or appointed member of an Iowa county sheriff office. The dues are $20.00 annually. Members will receive a subscription to the “Gold Star” magazine and an invitation to the ISSDA Schools (free registration and same sleeping room rates as other attendees). The Gold Star will keep you current with county sheriff’s office issues and include information about ISSDA Alumni Association activities.

Alumni meetings are held during the Spring School of Instruction and Winter School of Instruction. Other meetings are held throughout the year as needed.

BY-LAWS

To assist ISSDA in special projects
Assisting roll with Committees as assigned by the Alumni Chairman and the ISSDA Board of Directors
Rooms and Mileage (in Iowa) will be paid by ISSDA upon approval of the Alumni Chairman and the ISSDA Board of Directors
Help promote membership for ISSDA
To promote goals of ISSDA
To maintain old ISSDA friendships
Accidental death benefit of $250.00

MEMBERSHIP
All former ISSDA members elected and appointed.

DUES
$20 annually ($5 of member’s dues is earmarked for the ISSDA Scholarship Fund.)

MEETINGS
Two times a year – Spring and Winter Schools of Instruction.
